This week’s spotlight features a Philly favorite, Chill Moody!
The West Philly born hip-hop artist is a talented lyricist and one of Philadelphia’s most dynamic performers. Chill Moody was named “Best Rapper” by Philadelphia Magazine in 2014 and has been living up to that title ever since. His constant hard work and love for Philly earned him the title of Philadelphia’s official Music Ambassador in 2016. Chill Moody has also been elected Governor of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Recording Academy.
In February, Chill Moody dropped his latest EP, It’s Gon’ Be a Nice Year which features six tracks full of creativity that give fans a more personal look into his life and plans for the future. Following up on some of his best work, Chill Moody was a featured performer at the 2017 NFL Draft and more recently at Firefly Music Festival. Moody’s brand, nicethings, continues to grow and build with music, apparel, and now beer. Dock Street Brewery helped release nicethings IPA last year and it has returned to kick off the summer. The continuous stream of success shows that no one is more deserving of this spotlight than Chill Moody. Listen to his music here.
